Our Woodworking Philosophy

We intend that each piece of furniture or cabinetry we craft be beautiful to the eye and to the touch, economical, easy to use, and durable for decades of enjoyment.

We hand-select high-quality materials, design with care and attention to detail and to your wishes, use painstaking craftsmanship and plain, old-fashioned loving care. We use the strongest joints we know of (for the technically inclined: We describe the joinery used here at GizmoLab Custom Woodworks).

In our opinion, we live during a time where much of what makes up our lives is mass-produced. Brand-name factories crank out huge quantities of the same thing, cheaply. Although they make options and extras available, they are only variations on an assembly line theme.

We have a small, full-production facility where each piece is carefully and lovingly hand-designed and hand-crafted.

We're not out to change the world art scene and definitely won't get rich, but we enjoy exploring our craft and making something for you that begins with your vision and lasts for a lifetime.
